WORLD MALARIA DAY 2017 IN CROSS RIVER STATE.

The Wife of the Cross River State Governor, Dr Linda Ayade will on Tuesday, 25th of April, 2017 in Community Second ary Ugep, Yakurr LGA by 9am flag off activities of this year World Malaria Day. It is an occasion to highlight the need for continued investment and sustained political commitment for malaria prevention and control. A push for prevention. This year global theme for World Malaria Day is: End Malaria for Good . The will be free Medical Outreach , free malaria test and treatment, public awareness campaign to communities on the harmful effect of using mosquito nets for agricultural purposes. There will also be distribution and replacement of long lasting treated insecticide nets. By this notice distinguished legislators, members of the State Executive Council, Political Appointees, Great Cross Riverians from all works of life and General Public are hereby invited to grace this events .

Ken Aklah's Framework; A Solution To Nigeria's Divestment Situation And Economic Down-turn

Ken Aklah's opinion to the current divestment situation (a situation where investment index is low) in the Country as the result of the method adopted by this present administration to fight corruption is that, Globally, corruption remains a laid-back-nature of frontier societies mostly at the Southern hemisphere. This goes further to establish that corruption is not a function of genetic peculiarity, but of gross underdevelopment and poverty in material existence because the advanced societies had been in heigthened state of corruption in their formative stage, but became gradually refined, as they made tremendous economic improvements. However, this is not to say that those societies are free of corruption. Hopefully, third world countries shall progress to that stage with time. WORLD MALARIA DAY: CRS FIRST LADY TO SPONSOR AN EXECUTIVE BILL TO CRSHA.

As the world celebrates "World Malaria Day" today, wife of the Cross River State Govern or, Her Excellency Dr. Linda Ayade is determined to send an executive bill to Cross River State House of Assembly (CRSHA) for immediate ban on the use of long lasting insecticide treated net (LLIN) for agricultural purpose. Dr. Linda Ayade made this known today at Community Secondary School, Ugep as she launches some basic activities to mark this year's world malaria day with the theme: "End Malaria for Good" A PUSH FOR PREVENTION. she stated that the hunt malaria initiative was the first programmed embarked on immediately she assume office as first Lady. According to her, the reason for taking up the fight against malaria was because malaria kills silently and 95% of people in Nigeria die of malaria. 2ND ROUND IMMUNIZATION PLUS DAYS, DR BETTA EDU PAY'S ADVOCACY VISIT TO CRBC AND CALABAR MARKET WOMEN.

The Director General of Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA), Dr. Betta Edu paid advocacy visit to Cross River Broadcasting corporation (CRBC) and Market Women Association in Calabar. The visit according to the DG was to seek for support in the Second Round of Immunization Plus Days expected to hold between the 6th - 10th of may, 2017. The Director General who was received at CRBC by the General Manager, Mrs Theresa Essien, said the 2nd round of the immunization plus days is targeted at reaching every child in CRS and ensuring that they are immunized against vaccines preventable diseases. According to her the programs is supported by UNICEF, WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION, NPHCDA, EUSIGN, Mediatrix Development Foundation, an initiative of the wife of the Governor of CRS, Her Excellency, Dr. Linda Ayade. and others. Governor Ayade mourns victims of viewing centre tragedy

Cross River State governor, Professor Ben Ayade has described as tragic and horrifying the loss of several lives at a viewing center in Calabar, the state capital. A horrified Ayade said it was heart wrenching that the lives of the young men were lost in such a gripping manner through electrocution. The governor, according to a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Chief Press, Mr Christian Ita, said the incident marks a dark chapter in the life of the state. While commiserating with the families of the victims of the tragedy, the governor promised that the state government will look into the likely cause of the incident with a view to preventing a recurrence.
