The arrival of Lucas Alario at Bayer Leverkusen could help Kevin Volland fulfil his potential. However, in his first game alongside his new strike partner, he scored two goals and put in a man-of-the-match performance.
Schalke have given former Fulham full-back Sascha Riether a deal until the end of the season after he impressed while training with the team. "Sascha was very persistent, so we agreed that he could stay fit for the time," said coach Domenico Tedesco in September.
