Linda Ayade Commissions Class Room Blocks, Skill Acquisition Centre And Transfomers Put In Place By Legor
Wife of the Cross River State Governor, Dr Linda Ayade, last week, commissioned 3 class room blocks at Shikpeche, 500KVA Transformers at Sankwala in Obanliku Local Government Area and a Skill Acquisition Centre in Obudu, facilitated by Hon Legor Idagbo in his Federal Constituency.
Provisions of these facilities for the social institutions are some of Legor's covate modalities to encourage education snd improve on the human capital-base of his constituency for the much desired self reliance and economic leverage mostly now that international and national revenue shocks are forcing the Federal Government into adopting fiscal adjustment and cost containment measures, evident in lack of employment and economic hardship.
Legor's social intervention in his constituency is similitude with Governor Ayade's agenda of Social investment which is geared towards making the labour market very active. This is why the Governor's wife is so impressed with Legor. While some constituencies don't know what representation means, Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwarra and Ogoja/Yala are having swell moments under the watch of their current Reps Members.
The basic responsibility of any leader, be it at the administrative or representative level, is to identify and interprete the realities within his/her delimited constituency and have a better understanding on how such realities approach the needs of the people which must be accomplished through the leader's closeness with the people. This is the core essence of leadership. Against this background, there is no leadership.
It is quite unfortunate that in some federal and state constituencies, what the people get are matchets, guns and grammer as compensation
