MEDIATRIX DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION TAKES MEDICAL OUTREACH TO KEYI- BECHEVEH VILLAGE, A HARD TO REACH COMMUNITY IN OBANLIKWU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA IN CROSS RIVER STATE. THURSDAY 1ST OF JUNE 2017.
Communities are the heart of counties, states and nations. When families thrive; communities thrive. Mediatrix Development Foundation is committed to working with local volunteers, agencies and organizations who believe in building strong communities.
There are many communities where you go several kilometers/hours on foot, climbing and descending hills, rocks and what have you to reach. Communities where poor families struggle to put food on their tables. It’s in such situations that a free bag of groceries, a free life-saving health screening, a free medical outreach/intervention can serve as life-changing experiences that transform families and strengthen communities.
Keyi- Becheveh in Obanliwku Local Government Area in Cross River state is one of such communities.
A community where access to medical service is almost impossible, a community where underage children as early as eight years old are given up for marriage either for money or betrothed at birth to much more older people.
MDF medical team visited KEYI BECHEVEH in Obanlikwu LGA on Thursday the 1st of June 2017 and rendered medical services to the surprise of the members of this community, services such as Malaria test and treatment, Hepatitis B,Blood sugar ,Bp checks ,nutritional education ,Education on violence against women and children ,general consultancy n drugs, general Health talks, HIV counseling and testing, treatment of common ailments and distribution of food items.
The locals could not thank DR. Linda Ayade enough for this gesture.
We continue to do our best to put an end to risky behavior /lifestyle. We may not be able to change the choices people make, but we can definitely increase the choices that they have.

AYADE can be likened with the Biblical Farmer that sows with fate for a bumper harvest, therefore, the digital Governor should be seen and estimated as a Unified, a Political enigma and Colossus, a game changer and in general, a Nation builder and Healer with a developmental transition in his mind. Though, the metaphysical transcendence inherent in his dream of Industrializing the State might appear too dark to his Foes, antagonists and adversaries to acquaint themselves with the light in it. However, we can achieve, if we as a people stake down our respective interests and support the Governor of his noble dreams for our State's development and for posterity sake. Let us all remember our CHILDREN, GRAND CHILDREN and GREAT, GREAT GRAND CHILDREN !!
