ECOWAS defence chiefs meet, prepare for military action in Gambia

The Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff, Abayomi Olonisakin, on Saturday hosted colleagues from other West African countries as ECOWAS steps up preparation for a possible military action in the Gambia. The meeting, held at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, was part of the preparation for the inauguration of an Ecowas Military Intervention Group (ECOMIG) for the small West African country should President Yahya Jammeh makes real his threat not to step down when his tenure expires on January 19. A STUDY OF THE CAUSES OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY AMONG FEMALE STUDENTS AND ITS EFFECTS ON THEIR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN SECONDARY SCHOOL IN IKPOBA OKHA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EDO STATE NIGERIA ABSTRACT This research work is carried out to find out the causes of teenage pregnancy among female student in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area in Edo State. It deals with the purpose of the study, which is to find out the problems teens are facing concerning unwanted pregnancy and unwed parenthood. To suggest ways of helping any youth facing the dilemma of unwed parenthood as well as practical suggestions for adolescents in avoiding the pitfall of being pregnant.
