An elderly passenger has died on a flight from Dubai to Manchester.
A medical team met a plane as it came into Manchester at around 7.30am on Monday morning.
It's believed the traveller, who has not been named, passed away on the flight. No more details have yet been made public.
A GMP spokesman confirmed they were called to Manchester Airport at 7.59am on Monday morning to reports that a man had died on a plane.
There are no suspicious circumstances, the spokesman added. Officers were called to assist the medical team.
“Anyone with specific enquiries should contact the airline directly.”
A spokesperson said: “Emirates can confirm that a passenger on board today’s Emirates flight EK 21 from Dubai to Manchester passed away during the flight.
“Emirates expresses its condolences to the family.”
