CBN tennis: Emmanuel, Sylvester in quarter-final clash

Sunday Emmanuel will on Thursday face tournament third seed, Sylvester Emmanuel, in one of the quarter-final matches of the Central Bank of Nigeria Senior Tennis Tournament holding at tennis courts of the National Stadium, Lagos while number two seed, Moses Michael will be up against Shehu Lawal, seeded 8 in the championship.
On Wednesday, Abdulmumuni Babalola beat John Otu.
Emmanuel defeated Monday Igbinovia 6-1, 6-2 to get to this stage while Shehu Lawal outstroke Owolabi  Jinadu 6-3, 6-2.
In the women’s category, top seed Christy Agugbom will be slugging it out with seventh seed, Ronke Akingbade while the defending champion, Ifidzen Melissa will face Patience Onebamhoin as number 3, Aanu Aiyegbusi, engages Blessing Samuel.
Odeyemi Fortune who defeated Rose Abu 3-6, 7-6, will face Christy Nwankwo, who gained a walk-over against Sarah Adegoke.
