NFF crisis: Chris Giwa vows to resume office
In a statement signed by
Effiong Johnson, a member of the Chris Giwa led factional board, the
new board will resume office when due.
“We promised the nation to be in the office today (Monday).
“However, the board has decided to hold its meeting to deliberate on our
programme of activities and how to use football to develop and employ
our youths,’’ the statement said.
The Chris Giwa-led
faction of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says it will resume
duties at the governing body’s secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, NAN
reports.
Chris Giwa failed to resume office on Monday after he was arrested by
police officers on Friday during a tour of the glass house
