Claudio Ranieri wants 'American movie' ending as Leicester close on historic title
Claudio Ranieri says Leicester will be
"strong, solid" and without nerves as they aim to pull off one of
sport's biggest shocks on Sunday.
A win at Manchester United will secure a first English title
in the club's 132-year history and make a 5,000/1 pre-season pipe-dream
a reality. And Ranieri says he will go to Old Trafford relaxed after a week of watching his players prepare in the same way they have all year.
"It is important to finish the story like an American movie," he said. "Always in the final it is okay, a happy ending. It's a good opportunity but for this reason we have to be focused. Let me be calm, wait, we have time."
Friday was 'Blue Day' in Leicester as the city celebrated its team's success already this season, but the manager was not getting caught up in the euphoria at his pre-match press conference.
"I can understand the happiness around the city," he said, "but that's the fans. We have to work. I have a lot of respect for Louis van Gaal and I know it will be a very difficult match.
"I want to concentrate on the next match. The players have trained just the same, very concentrated. I talked to the players. Everything is in our hands. If our strength is to be concentrated, we must continue in this way.
"I'm not nervous. I think only of Manchester. Be strong. Be solid. We know very well that now is a real chance to win the Premier League title. Next season, you never know what will happen.
