If there’s a silver lining for Arsenal fans to see their side’s season unravelling in front of their very eyes, it’s that Arsene Wenger might finally be convinced to spend some money this summer.
The Frenchman spent just £10million last summer and didn’t buy a single outfield player despite being under severe pressure to do so from disgruntled supporters.
The 65-year-old, though, will look to strengthen in attack and in defence this summer.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest transfer talk coming out of the Emirates:
Gunners submit £10.25m bid for Umar Sadiq – report
The likes of Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott have underwhelmed in recent weeks for Arsenal and it looks like Wenger’s had enough.
Sadiq, 19, is a highly-rated Nigerian forward and he’s shone for Roma’s youth side this season.
The Gunners have had a bid of around £10.25m bid rejected but it’s believed they can get the deal done for a fee closer to £12m.

West Ham target shock move for Jack Wilshere – report
It’s been another excruciating season for Wilshere – and West Ham are looking to end his pain with the Gunners.
The 24-year-old was injured on the eve of Arsenal’s Community Shield clash with Chelsea and is yet to make an appearance for the club this season.
Wenger is still a huge fan of the midfielder but could cut his losses in the summer with West Ham ready to offer around £15m for the England international.
Thierry Henry says Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants Arsenal move – report
This could be huge.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season when his contract expires in the French capital.
A host of English clubs have been linked with the mercurial forward but Henry claims that he’s been told that the Swede fancies a move to the Emirates this summer.
